Ms Eunice Simon of Mangu County, Plateau State, Nigeria was shot in the leg and chest in the 9th month of pregnancy on May 16, 2023. She had trauma-induced labor as a result and gave birth three hours later, while being treated for bullet wounds at a small hospital in Mangu.
As Ms. Simon was giving birth, the Truth Nigeria team of Masara Kim and Solomon Dalyop Mwantiri were pinned down in a fire fight in her village of Jwak Mai Tumbi on May 16, 2023.
