At least 10 people were killed in explosions targeting motorists on a highway in Nigeria’s northeast Borno state near the border with Cameroon where jihadists are active.
On Tuesday morning, a truck carrying nine people hit a landmine suspected to have been planted by jihadist terrorists in Kunibaa village. Seven passengers, including a woman and her two children heading to the capital city of Maiduguri for a wedding, were killed. Two passengers escaped death with minor injuries.
Earlier on Monday, three people were killed along the highway when a car and a truck hit a bomb.
