Four persons were murdered in cold blood by gunmen who attacked a supermarket in Karu county of Nasarawa State, Northcentral Nigeria on Tuesday night.
Police authorities confirmed the attack to local media on Wednesday. The State police spokesperson Ramhan Nansel said the four-man gang stormed the supermarket for a robbery operation. They shot sporadically at customers and workers.
The police arrived too late to save the day as four persons were already lying in the pool of their own blood by the time police officers arrived at the scene. The robbers have also sped off.
Nansel said the police would “carry out a comprehensive investigation into the case.”
