Nigerian Troops Strikes Down Notorious Terrorist Leader in Zamfara

Nigerian troops of the joint task force “Operation Hadarin Daji” have gunned down two terrorists in Zurmi county of Zamfara State. One of the slain outlaws is a notorious terrorist kingpin called Sainaje.

The terrorist gang members were downed on January 29 when the army raided their forest hideout. With two of their men down, others retreated to escape meeting the same fate, abandoning their prisoners.

The troops proceeded to set the deserted shelters on fire after unbinding the captives who looked malnourished and uncared for. The freed prisoners, 17 in total, included five children.

Also, the soldiers ran into a gang of terrorists on transit with two abducted victims, and without wasting time, engaged them in a gun battle. The armed group fled on foot, and the victims were rescued.
