On 28/01/2024 Federal government monitoring of communication of a notorious bandit, Boderi Isiya, off between 12- 16 hours opposite Government Hospital, Bini-Doka, Kachia LGA, Kaduna State (9.92344306, 7.43225306) and his Informant, UIM located around Mararaba Kasiri, along Jere – Kafanchan road, Kagarko LGA, Kaduna State (9.52944444, 7.52500000) revealed plans by Bandit Boderi to barricade either Kaduna – Abuja expressway or Jere – Kagarko road to whisk away unsuspecting motorists.
- During the conversation, BODERI asked UIM whether security operatives are patrolling SCC – Kagarko road, Kagarko LGA, Kaduna State.
- Responding, UIM disclosed that troops are stationed around Kwasau village. He however noted that there is no security presence around Kagarko town.
- Furthermore, Boderi enquired about presence of security personnel along the Kaduna – Abuja expressway between Jere and Rijana towns.
- On his part, UIM revealed that troops are stationed around Rijana, thus, they patrol the expressway. He stated that he will go to market at Kubacha village today, hence, he will observe the road and also make enquiries and get back to Boderi.
- Consequently, Boderi tasked UIM to conduct surveillance on the aforementioned expressway from Akilibu town to Rijana town and observe the presence of military operatives along the road.
- Additionally, Boderi asked UIM which section of the expressway had developed potholes which is forcing motorists to move slowly on the road.
- UIM stated that the expressway is bad around Katari town which causes serious traffic congestion. He added that motorists had to divert and follow one way.
- Thus, Boderi enquired about the presence of security operatives around Katari where the road is bad.
- UIM revealed that there is a military outpost around Katari, thus, they are patrolling the area. COMMENT
- From the foregoing, it is believed that Boderi is planning to barricade either Kaduna – Abuja expressway or Jere – Kagarko road to kidnap unsuspecting motorists. Therefore, it is imperative that Kaduna State Command and the military should be alerted to intensify patrol along Kaduna – Abuja expressway between Akilibu and Rijana and Jere – Kagarko road between SCC and Kagarko, with a view to frustrating the plans of the hoodlums.
