Nigerians on social media are crying out over the gruesome murder of a young lady identified as Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar by gunmen who abducted her and her five sisters.
Nabeeha and her sisters were abducted on Jan. 9, alongside their father, Alhaji Mansoor Al-Kadriyar and scores of others by gunmen who attacked Kawu village in Bwari district of Nigeria’s capital Abuja last Thursday.
The father was later released on Jan. 12 to source for N60 million (US$62,639.63) ransom for the girls, but Nebeeha was killed on Saturday as her father made efforts to raise the money to free them. He was only able to raise half of the demanded sum by the expiration of the deadline given.
After killing Nabeeha, the kidnappers have raised the ransom to N100 million (US$104,399.39), N20 million (US$20,879.88) each for the remaining sisters which the family must provide by Wednesday, Jan. 17 or prepare to get their corpses.
