Nigerian Air Force Pounds ISWAP Hideout, Dozens of Fighters Killed

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has claimed a decisive blow against the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP through a successful airstrike eliminating dozens of insurgents in Borno state.

Details remain sketchy: no photos documented casualties. But military sources confirmed the airstrike targeted an ISWAP hideout in a remote location within Borno.  The NAF, utilizing its fleet of fighter jets, reportedly launched a precision attack on the insurgent camp, inflicting significant casualties.

“The operation,” a military source familiar with the details disclosed, “neutralized scores of ISWAP fighters.”  While the exact number of casualties remains unconfirmed, estimates by the air force personnel suggest dozens of insurgents were killed in the airstrike.

This development comes within the framework of Operation Hadin Kai, a multi-agency effort aimed at combating terrorism and insurgency in Nigeria’s northeast region.  The Nigerian Air Force has played a crucial role in this operation, utilizing airstrikes to disrupt insurgent activities and dismantle their bases.
