“Every day is for the thief,” goes the Nigerian proverb, “but one day is for the owner.” This old saying holds true as luck ran out for Isah Abdul, a notorious kidnap kingpin, who has been terrifying the people of Takai in Kano State in recent times.
Abdul, 35 years old, was arrested by men of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on February 19.
His forest hideout was busted in a “well-coordinated operation following credible intelligence” on his activities along with his boys, NAF spokesperson Edward Gabkwet said in a statement on Tuesday.
Abdul has strong ties to other known kidnapping gangs in Takai and most times, teams up with the other gangs for raids and attacks on locals and villages.
Gabkwet said the fallen bandit lord is still undergoing investigation by NAF but will be handed over to the “appropriate authorities” for further actions.
