Nigerian Air Force kills notorious Boko Haram terrorist

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has claimed the death of a notorious Boko Haram leader, Abu Asad, and several of his fighters as a result of an airstrike at Tagoshe in the Mandara Mountains in Borno State. Two of the terrorists’ three shelters and their carriers reportedly were completely razed to the ground.

NAF spokesperson Edward Gabkwet said the airstrike was carried out last Friday. He described it as “one of the most successful strikes undertaken by the air component of the military Operation dubbed “Hadin Kai” in recent times.

Nigeria’s Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, has commended the troops for the feat. He urged them to continue to make “life unbearable for these terrorists and criminals until they surrender or are completely eliminated.”
