The leadership of the Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC) has postponed its Christmas celebration earlier scheduled to be held on Wednesday, December 27 over the massacre of 150 people by Fulani terrorists in Plateau State on Christmas Eve.
According to a report by TruthNigeria’s senior editor Masara Kim, the killer mercenaries attacked no fewer than 18 villages in two counties in Central Plateau State, burning numerous houses and displacing thousands and wounding 500 persons.
The NBC president, Rev. Dr Israel Adelani Akanji said several Baptist churches were attacked with nine church members killed, including a pastor and his wife in Bokkos, one of the raided counties.
“We don’t know if there are more because several corpses are yet to be identified,” Rev. Akanji added, “We will not enjoy dancing and feasting when such a thing has happened in the Convention. Therefore, by the grace of God, our celebration will hold another time.”
