The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has announced the triumphant elimination of Isa Dei-Dei, the leader of a deadly bandit gang in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.
The Force Public Relations Officer of the NPF, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, via a social media post on Wednesday, said Dei-Dei was gunned down on February 5.
The police got an intel on their activities and rushed to their hideout. “Upon closing in on them, they sighted the police and fled. The operatives immediately went after them, which led to a fierce gun duel,” Adejobi stated.
Dei-Dei was slain during the firefight while his gang members retreated, some with gunshot injuries. “We therefore urge members of the public, most especially medical practitioners, to call our attention to anyone or patients seen with gunshot wounds for further investigation,” the NPF spokesman added.
