Daring bandits around midday on Thursday struck in Katsina state, hijacking a commercial bus and abducting an unknown number of passengers.
The bandits attacked the 18-seater bus between the Burdugau and Yargoje communities that border Kankara town, according to local media. The bus was en route to Katsina, the State capital, from Funtua town of 103 miles.
Details regarding the exact number of abducted passengers remain unclear. Authorities have yet to release a statement on the bus attack.
