Troops Take Out 2 Terrorists in Sambisa Forest Raid

In a decisive blow to insurgent forces, Nigerian troops eliminated two terrorists in a joint operation deep in the Sambisa Forest on July 30, 2024.

The successful raid, conducted by Operation Desert Sanity and Operation Hadin Kai troops, alongside the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and Hybrid Force, targeted terrorist enclaves in Lantari, Mojori, Bula Malo, and Baramari villages in Bama County (Local Government Area).

Intelligence sources confirmed that the operation resulted in the decimation of two terrorists, with several others fleeing the scene.

Troops recovered a cache of ammunition, including 11 rounds of 7.62mm x 51mm, 23 rounds of 7.62mm x 39mm ball (special), three rounds of 5.56mm x 45mm NATO, and three empty magazines.

Fortunately, there were no reported casualties among the troops.
