In Kurmin Kare village, Kaduna state, local youths played a heroic role in capturing a suspected terrorist involved in an attack that resulted in the death of their local chief.
According to reports, a group of terrorists arrived in the community on motorbikes, stormed the house of Chief Ishaya Barnabas, and fatally shot him. They then abducted three people from a nearby residence.
Refusing to back down, the village citizens mobilized and pursued the terrorists. During the chase, one of the attackers lost control of his motorbike and crashed. He was captured and handed over to security agencies.
However, the abducted villagers’ whereabouts remain unknown, and the police have yet to comment on the incident or the arrest.
