Over the weekend, Nigerian Army troops on a fighting patrol in the Saulawa area of Birnin Gwari County, Kaduna State, successfully repelled an attack by a group of terrorists. During the operation, two terrorists were killed, and the soldiers recovered weapons and motorcycles.
In a statement, the Army reported that the troops cleared Maidaro and Ngade Alha villages before encountering the terrorists in a shootout.
The engagement resulted in the elimination of two terrorists, along with the recovery of an AK-47 rifle, a magazine loaded with 23 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and 11 motorcycles, one of which was destroyed during the operation.
The Nigerian Army stressed its dedication to safeguarding the nation and its citizens from terrorism, stating, “The troops in their untiring commitment have continued to deny the terrorists freedom of action and significantly undermined their capabilities.”
