A woman and her two new born babies, just 34 days old, were kidnapped from their home last Friday by terrorists. The kidnappers are now demanding a ransom of N15 million naira (approximately $9,540) for their safe release.
Conflict journalist Bakatsine broke the news on X on Tuesday, revealing that the abduction took place in Kurfi town, located in Northwest Katsina State, Nigeria.
Confirming the report, ASP Sadiq Aliyu, the spokesperson for the Katsina State Police Command, told Sahara Reporters via WhatsApp that the police are working tirelessly to secure the release of the mother and her infants.
“We are making frantic efforts to ensure their rescue,” he said. Aliyu also mentioned that one suspect has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping, but investigations are still ongoing.
