Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda announced that the state security watch corps has played a key role in arresting over 1,000 informants linked to bandits.
Speaking on Monday during a visit by Air Force Chief Hassan Abubakar, Radda stressed his administration’s commitment to improving security to promote agricultural development.
“We assured the armed forces of our readiness to support their efforts in any way we could. The state has made significant progress in identifying and apprehending informants collaborating with bandits,” said Radda. “The Katsina State security watch corps has been instrumental in this effort, leading to the arrest of over 1,000 informants.”
The Governor praised the ongoing collaboration between the State government and the Nigerian Air Force in fighting banditry. He added that local leaders are being engaged to help root out bandits.
“We are actively engaging traditional rulers, religious leaders, and community heads to identify and eliminate suspicious elements within our communities,” he said.
