Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity, has resigned due to a family health emergency.
Ngelale cited a “vexatious medical situation” affecting his immediate family, stating, “I am proceeding on an indefinite leave of absence to frontally deal with medical matters presently affecting my immediate, nuclear family.”
He added that his decision was made after significant consultations with his family as the medical situation worsened.
President Tinubu has accepted Ngelale’s resignation, expressing sympathy and understanding for his decision.
In a statement, the President’s office said, “The President accepts his reasons for the leave, fully understands them, and sympathizes with the circumstances that have led to this seemingly difficult decision.”
