Security Alert: Influx of Unidentified Suspected Terrorists in Villages South of Jos

Date: September 7, 2024

Time: 0200hrs

Overview:

TruthNigeria has received intelligence indicating a significant influx of unidentified individuals suspected to be Fulani militants from Nasarawa State into Bokkos County, Plateau State. The affected villages reported include:

1. Josho in Daffo district

2. Bodel in Bokkos district

3. Kulere chiefdom

Projection:

An imminent attack may be anticipated in the coming days. This is especially as armed attacks have concentrated in the area in the past one week, resulting in a combined 16 deaths as of September 3 according to TruthNigeria investigations.

Equally worthy of note is that September 7 and September 11 have remained significant days in the state of Plateau as terrorists tend to always sustain attacks within this period to mark the massacre of over 1000 Christians on September 7, 2001 and the World Trade Center bomb attack in the United State on September 11, 2001.

It is essential to remain vigilant throughout the Bokkos area as diversions and distractions may be employed by the suspects.

Recommendations:

TruthNigeria learned that heads of security agencies, including the Commissioner of Police and the Special Task Force Commander have been signaled to deploy troops to the areas to proactively prevent any potential incidents.

Residents in the affected areas are however encouraged to stay alert and report any suspicious activity.

– Quasi-security outfits within the area are equally urged to maintain vigilance and monitor the situation closely.

Next Steps:

TruthNigeria will continue to monitor the situation and report further developments as they arise. Please remain alert and prioritize safety.
