The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is utilizing $3 million in USAID funding to address flood-related needs across the country. USAID is also supporting airlifts of food to inaccessible areas in Borno, in partnership with the United Nations Humanitarian Air Service (UNHAS).
Local and international NGOs, funded by USAID, are redirecting resources to support those affected in Maiduguri and nearby Jere county (Local Government Area). The U.S. commended the resilience of the people and the tireless efforts of first responders and aid workers.
