President Bola Ahmed Tinubu departed Abuja on Wednesday, October 2nd for the United Kingdom, where he will spend two weeks on vacation as part of his annual leave, according to a statement from his office.
The President’s time away will serve as both a working vacation and an opportunity for reflection on his administration’s economic reforms. Tinubu has introduced a series of economic changes since assuming office, and the retreat is expected to provide him with the time to assess the impact of those policies.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, said in a statement, “President Tinubu will use the two weeks as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms.”
The President will return to Nigeria after the two-week leave expires.
