Nigerian Air Force Airstrikes Disrupt Bandit Operations in Zamfara

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Sunday said recent airstrikes in Zamfara State eliminated numerous bandits, including key loyalists of notorious leaders Dan-Isuhu and Dogo Sule.

According to NAF spokesman Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, the strikes, which followed credible intelligence, targeted a gathering of bandits in Babban Kauye village, Tsafe County. “Intelligence sources revealed that the congregation of criminals was perfecting plans for coordinated attacks against military personnel or civilians along the Tsafe axis,” he said.

Akinboyewa described Tsafe as a hotspot for bandit activities, with groups using remote villages as safe havens to coordinate attacks. “Reports from the ground confirmed the elimination of numerous high-ranking members of the bandit groups, dealing a severe blow to their operational capacity,” he said.

He added, “The NAF remains resolute in its mission to collaborate with sister services and other security agencies to secure the region and restore peace to the Northwest.”
