Dangote Refinery Ships First Gasoline Export to Cameroon

Africa’s largest oil refinery, Dangote refinery has teamed up with Cameroon’s Neptune Oil to export gasoline for the first time. The deal showcases Dangote Refinery’s position as Africa’s largest oil refinery and its growing influence in the region.

“This first export of PMS to Cameroon is a tangible demonstration of our vision for a united and energy-independent Africa,” said Aliko Dangote, CEO of Dangote Group, about the collaboration. “With this development, we are laying the foundation for a future where African resources are refined and exchanged within the continent for the benefit of our people.”

Antoine Ndzengue, Director of Neptune Oil, called the partnership a “turning point” for Cameroon, noting, “This initial supply, executed without international intermediaries, reflects our commitment to serving our markets independently and efficiently.”

The two companies are also working on plans to set up a reliable fuel supply chain that could help stabilize prices and create new economic opportunities across the region. For Nigeria, this move highlights its ability to meet domestic fuel needs while stepping up as a key energy supplier in Africa.
