TRUTHNIGERIA ALERT / EARLY WARNING: CAN Taraba Issues Urgent Security Advisory on Crossover Night Services
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Taraba State chapter, has issued an urgent security notice advising churches and Christian organizations across the state to halt or cancel crossover night services due to intelligence reports of a planned terrorist disruption.
The advisory, released Wednesday evening and signed by the CAN Chairman, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Williams Peter Awoshiri, cited credible security sources, with heightened concerns for rural communities and the outskirts of major towns.
CAN urged churches to prioritize the safety of worshippers, noting that it is prudent to forgo crossover services at this time in order to safeguard lives, while trusting God for peaceful and joyful celebrations in the years ahead.
Church leaders and congregants are advised to remain vigilant and comply fully with the directive until further notice.
