Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has charged Nigerians to pray and keep on praying until the security crisis in the country evaporates.
Nigeria is plagued by insurgencies, banditry, and communal conflicts that pose significant threats to the nation.
Confronting insecurity ranging from mass abductions of schoolchildren, kidnappings by gangs, banditry, as well as violence from Islamic State offshoots remains a paramount challenge for President Bola Tinubu who took office in May 2023. Last week, Tinubu said he “won’t rest until every agent of darkness is completely rooted out.“
Mrs Tinubu thinks the challenges would be overcome by prayers. “Let us intensify our prayers as it is prayers that would bring us out of this conundrum we find ourselves as a nation,” her Monday post on X reads.
