President Tinubu charges security chiefs to end terrorism and banditry in Nigeria

In a marching order during a presidential security briefing on Jan. 5, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu tasked Nigeria’s security chiefs and heads of intelligence agencies to eliminate all security threats in the country within the shortest time possible.

President Tinubu cheered the military for the remarkable feats so far recorded but called for more blows to be dealt on the recalcitrant criminals. “Failure is not an option under my leadership,” he said.

The Nigerian President said there must be a conclusive victory against the “enemies of progress” for Nigeria’s dream of a $1 trillion economy to be actualized in the coming years.

“There is no room for celebrations until we can end this; until we can bring our troops back to their own localities, and until we can free up resources for our critical economic expansion programme,” the President firmly stated.
