Terrorists Strike Again in Kaduna, Kidnap 17 in Dragon Noma Community

The terror attacks in Kaduna State that have left people feeling more unsafe have continued with the latest abduction of 14 persons in Dogon Noma community, Kajuru county on Saturday morning.

Saturday’s attack follows the massive abduction of 17 Gonin Gora locals on February 28 and the abduction of over 200 Kuriga schoolchildren on March 7. Also, on Monday, March 11, terrorists forcefully took away 61 persons from their homes in the Buda community in Kajuru.

A lawmaker representing Kajuru county at the State House of Assembly, Usman Stingo decried the terror attacks on Kajuru that have defied aggressive measures by the authorities since 2019.

“The bandits invaded the community (Dagon Noma) on Saturday, at about 5:45 a.m. and kidnapped 14 people while one person was seriously injured,” Stingo told the Nigerian press on Sunday.

The lawmaker said the attacks have persisted because the government has no “political will” to go after the terrorists. “If the government has the political will to end it, soldiers will clear the bandits from their hideouts in the bushes within a few days,” he said.
