President Bola Tinubu says his administration will not relent in providing adequate support to the Nigerian military to secure lives and properties in the country.
Speaking at the Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference 2023 in Maiduguri, Borno State, on Monday, the President said the recent procurement of military choppers from Turkey is a testament that his government will win the war against terrorism and insurgency. “It is a battle I have no intention of losing,” Tinubu assured.
Under Tinubu’s leadership, the Nigerian military has taken the fight to the bandits, sometimes referred to as terrorists, vigorously. Several Fulani-tribe terrorist kingpins, Nazifi Ibrahim and Yellow Jambros, have been killed by the military in recent weeks.
President Tinubu lauded the military for the continued onslaught on terrorists. “We commend the successes of the Nigerian army in the various operations in the battle against terrorist bandits and solving crimes,” he said.
