U.S. Honors Nigerian With Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award

Nigerian global advocate, Owolabi Williams, has been honored with the prestigious U.S. Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, the highest level of the President’s volunteer service award.

The award is in recognition of the significant strides Williams has made towards youth development and empowerment as the founder and president of the Boys Lead Foundation. He received the honours on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Williams’ publicist Ijeoma Thomas-Odia, said in a statement on January 15 that Wiliams’ profound impact has been felt across seven countries and twelve cities, where he has helped to shape boys and young men into future leaders.

Williams said the award was symbolic. “This honour is a testament to the collective efforts of our team members across the globe in empowering young minds and a commitment to continue this vital work,” he was quoted in the statement.
