Nigerian Troops disperse bandits in Tsafe Town, rescue 10 kidnap victims in Zamfara

Troops of the Nigerian Army on Tuesday rescued ten people abducted by terrorists in Tsafe town of Zamfara state.

The feat was accomplished by the military task force codenamed Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD). The troops responded to a distress call which led to the rescue.

The terrorists were engaged in a gun duel, but “through aggressive tactics and unwavering determination, the troops overpowered the bandits, forcing them to flee with gunshot wounds through a rocky bush,” Suleiman Omale, army spokesman, said.

The terrorists abandoned their hostages and fled, leading to the rescue of the prisoners.
