URGENT SECURITY ALERT FOR BARKIN LADI and BOKKOS

TruthNigeria has received credible information regarding a serious threat to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Hurum village, a community that previously suffered a terrorist attack on the 24th of December, 2023.
A Fulani militant was observed driving through the village of Hurum at approximately 6:30 am today, 5th April 2024, issuing explicit threats of another attack on the IDPs. His menacing remarks have caused the IDPs to halt their efforts to rebuild their homes, undermining their prospects of returning to a semblance of normalcy.

Similarly, TruthNigeria has received credible intelligence regarding plans by Fulani militants to launch mass attacks in Christian villages in Bokkos LGA immediately after the Sallah celebrations coming next week.
Already, seven people have been killed in what appears to be a pretest attack in Butura Wur and Tangur villages on April 2. As of today, residents in Butura Wur have reported sighting large herds of cattle owned by Fulani herders camping near the village.
TruthNigeria calls upon the relevant security agencies, including Operation Safe Haven, Nigerian Police Force, the State Security Services, and other sister bodies to take immediate action:
Arrest and Investigation: All identified suspects must be apprehended promptly, and a thorough investigation conducted to uncover any potential collaborators.
1. Deployment of Security Personnel: Immediate deployment of security personnel to the Hurum area is essential to ensure the safety and protection of the IDPs.
2. Flush Out Operation: Conduct a comprehensive flush-out operation within the general vicinity to eliminate any terrorist elements that may have infiltrated the area.
3. Additional Measures: Implement any other necessary measures deemed expedient under the circumstances to safeguard the lives and property of the residents.
