Press Release: ‘Thank you, President Trump!’
A Statement by the Save Nigeria Group USA on the Redesignation of Nigeria as a
“Country of Particular Concern” by the Trump Administration
Date: November 3, 2025
The Save Nigeria Group USA-organizers of the upcoming “Stop the Christian Genocide
Rally” scheduled for December 1, 2025, in Washington, D.C.- strongly commends President
Donald J. Trump for his bold and unprecedented action on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in
redesignating Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” (CPC) under U.S. law.
President Trump’s decisive step is courageous, lifesaving, and morally right. Through this
action, he has reaffirmed his position as a true leader of the free world and a peacemaker,
sending a powerful message to the Nigerian authorities that the cries of countless innocent
Christian victims-murdered over the years by radical Islamist terrorists often operating with
the complicity or indifference of elements within the Nigerian government-have not gone
unheard.
While we deeply appreciate this historic move, we urge President Trump and the U.S.
Government to go further by holding accountable all sponsors and enablers of these atrocities.
These include individuals and institutions within the federal and state governments of Nigeria, security services, and religious and traditional leadership who have been credibly accused of aiding or shielding terrorist elements.
We also appeal for urgent U.S. pressure to ensure that the over 11 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Nigeria-mostly Christians-are safely returned to their ancestral homes, farmlands, and communities. Those who have illegally occupied their lands must be evicted, and survivors must receive adequate restitution and protection under the law.
On behalf of peace-loving and well-meaning Nigerians everywhere, we extend our deepest
gratitude to President Donald J. Trump and the United States of America for standing up for
justice, faith, and humanity.
We reaffirm our unwavering support for President Trump’s leadership and share his
commitment to ending Islamic terrorism, silent jihad, and all forms of religious persecution
in Nigeria.

Comrade Stephen Osemwegie, National Director (Minnesota)
Prof. Eddie Oparoji, National Adviser (Washington, D.C.)
Comrade Chuma Okeke, Regional Director (Maryland)
Comrade Godswill Nwankwo, Regional Director (Texas)
