Ethnic Fulani militia operate with impunity, attacking civilians and forcing entire communities to flee. Chanchanji is rapidly shutting down, with widespread displacement reported.
According to credible information, St. Joseph Demevar Parish House has been destroyed, along with New Gboko. Entire communities, including Adu (around Chanchanji) and Fachii, have been abandoned and now resemble ghost villages.
Due to escalating insecurity, the Diaconate ordination scheduled for December 21, 2025, at Usor Pastoral Area has been relocated to Chanchanji.
