A security alert received by TruthNigeria on August 16th, 2026, indicates a possible planned attack tonight by suspected Fulani Ethnic Militias on communities in Nkiehwie District, Plateau State, particularly Kpatenvie (Jebbu-Miango), Kpachudu, Rikwerishe in Bassa County, and Gerro in Jos South Local Government Area.
The affected communities are located south of Jos, the Plateau State capital, within the Irigwe-speaking areas and adjoining districts known for farming settlements and rural communities. Residents across Irigwe Chiefdom have been urged to heighten surveillance, strengthen community watch systems, and report suspicious movements to security agencies.
Security stakeholders advise residents to remain calm but alert while avoiding isolated routes and unnecessary movements in vulnerable areas.
