The Nigerian army has announced a victorious raid on a bandit haven Sunday, December 17, when its troops ambushed a bandit gang terrorizing Sabon Birni in Igabi county of Kaduna, killing a gang member.
A statement by the Nigerian Army Division 1 spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Musa Yahaya, on Wednesday said that several bandits escaped with gunshot wounds during the raid.
“Troops recovered one AK-47 rifle and one AK-47 rifle magazine loaded with four 7.62mm (special) ammunition,” Yahaya added.
